Some weeks are a breeze and others test you to your limits..This week was one of those.. My dearest Ethel got sick... we fought and we fought but it was no use.. sadly we lost the fight and my dear little girl headed over the rainbow bridge! I miss her so much..She was my inspiration.. my friend and a superstar! She will live on through my work and in my heart.. We had rainbows and sunrises..She'll ALWAYS be my orange!

My inspiration.....

I nursed my dear little girl for three whole days... We tried SO hard but she just couldn't fight the infection...

On our last full day together she was weak but still my beautiful little friend..

At least we got to have breakfast together.. And I got to tell her everything I wanted too..

I miss that little orange furball!

As a tribute.. I took a photo of a fairy hamster puff in the woods..

The woods helps me clear my head... And I can feel her all around!

I took my new camera to the woods too..

I love the spooky effects! And polaroids are magical!

I am selling hamster fairy puff sets in her memory in my Etsy shop

For EVERY pack sold I am donating £1 to the Small Animal Rescue Society..

Her memory will live on!!!

She will be missed by EVERYBODY that followed her adventures..

I have been so touched by the hundreds of messages I have received about her and can be happy that she made so many other people smile so much..

Also last week it was Dad's Birthday! Poor Dad.. twice around his birthday I have lost a furry friend!

Sweet dreams little Ethel...

Hello guys.. I am so sorry to have to share this news but sadly on 21st January 2012

my dearest baby girl and tiny orange sidekick Ethel took a trip over the rainbow bridge to heaven.

I am writing this with tears in my eyes and hoping that it will help me come to terms with the loss of one of the most amazing friends I've ever had.. Just a hamster they say... And I feel sorry for them because they will never understand.. She was something completely magical in a hamsters body..

On October 10th 2010.. I walked into the pet shop after losing my tiny rescue Robrovski Rosie and saw her there....

The chubbiest ginger ball of fluff I'd ever seen!

"I've got my eye on a little fat ginger hamster" I said... Then I took her home on the bus.
We loved each other... She was a star!

I spoilt her... She made my heart fill up a little every day so we were quits!
She's was awesome.. My tiny sidekick!

I miss her... Right now my rainbow has no orange!

But it will be back.. I will be back.. But for now.. All the sunshine I've given

Can I have a little back? Please?

This is the rose I have chosen for her pot... It's happy and orange and named REMEMBER ME..

YAY! A super fun week... Full of stitching .. stickers.. AWESOME mail... walking in the woods.. new stuff.. snuggling up for a read..sunrises.. sunsets and being with the people I love..

Monday.. I LOVE Mondays.. Mainly because I work from home ALL day!

This week I was making HAPPY KITS

LOADS of HAPPY KITS...

And eating pink smarties..

WOOP!

Tuesday was ZINE crazy!!! Making LOADS of happy zines!

And heading out into the real world isn't so bad when the walk to school looks like this..

On Wednesday I got AWESOME mail!

An AMAZING Wilbur felted brooch from the lovely Yvonne at Socksy Beasts

AND STICKERS!!!!! From the super sweet Heidi M at LittleNore

Then on Thursday.. I made AND sold my first sock creature in AGES!

Meet Candy and Fluff..

On their way to their new home NOW!

And then there was Friday 13th..

But mine was AWESOME!!

Breakfast with my boyfriend.... I adore that boy! He makes me so happy!

Followed by MORE AMAZING MAIL!

My new friend Percy from the AMAZING Cannibalized Cuties

And LOOK! We got Miss H too!! Noah took a liking to her!

Also I grabbed myself a butterpillar from tinyoysterdesigns before they were all gone!

Oooh and Jacob bought me a new fluffy dressing gown and a book!

Just in time for a snuggly Friday night too..

Saturday I got a NEW unicorn for my collection from MossMountain

Then came SUNDAY!

I spent the morning working on mutant hamster puffs..

Then we went for a wonderful wander in the woods as the sun went down...

And captured THIS picture of me and my Jacob!

Which is SO CUTE!!! That it had me jumping for joy!!!

WOW! Happy New Year! What a fun start to the year it was too.... Lots of doodling..crafting...fun with my boys..Ethel.. Hanging with Mr Plipp..Getting back on that bike.. New bell and basket for Ralph..New projects...And my HAPPY KITS were mega popular so it was a great positive start to 2012!

GOODBYE 2011

First day of the new year....

The weather was TERRIBLE!!

BUT..We still had LOTS of fun!

OH YEAH!!

It's the UNI-KORNZ back in action for new years day ROCK BAND!! ♥

Tuesday... Was PIRATE day!

I settled down for a relaxing last day of the holiday

Just me.. Noah and Mr.plipp!

AAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Then on Wednesday..It was back into the REAL WORLD!

AAAAGH!!!

Haha...But I took my bubble with me!

Then came home to get back to work... Making HAPPY KITS!

I couldn't have dreamt how popular they would turn out to be..

I sold 30 in one day! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who purchased my positivity in a paper bag!

I will be putting more in the shop on Wednesday.. As soon as I've packed up and sent off these!

I even have a new basket now on my bike...

So I can deliver my rainbow happy parcels in STYLE!!!

And ring my new bell as I go!

But for now.... I'm making mini white rabbits!!

And planning NEW STUFF for my Etsy shop!

Hmm... What else happened this week??

Oh yeah..I took THIS photo of Ethel...Which I like to call ham and egg

Ethel chomped her way through her very first hard boiled egg..And boy did she LOVE IT!!!

Next time I'm going to get footage! Haha she was SO noisy!! CHOMP!!

Oh yeah..Saturday after a 3 day headache was GLASSES DAY!

Eeek... Why don't I look CUTE like those geek girls??

RATS! Anyhow..It worked and I felt a lot better for Sunday's RELAX!

Aaaah..slippers and maxi dress... It's what Sunday's were made for!

Mum and Dad always come over to ours...

WOWZERS!!!!!!!!! What an amazing week! The build up to Christmas with my favourite boys! Sushi... Doodling...Dressing up... Getting fab mail... A trip to the beach... AND THEN.... CHRISTMAS DAY!!

Christmas REALLY inspired my doodling this year!

And after.. A REALLY busy November/ early December.. It was nice to kick back with my boys

my pens and a cup of tea and just doodle for FUN!!

I need to do this more!

We also went out for SUSHI!!!

After all... That's what holidays are for huh?

Then we went to the beach!

The beach in December.. The most perfect time to be there!

It's what Christmas is ALL ABOUT!! The look on my boys face!

From Jacob I got some AMAZING new lenses for my Nikon!

I CANNOT WAIT to try them!!!

From Noah I got a cute bag.. Sunshine flower and a sweet book about one girl and her hamster!

Made EXTRA special because he chose all his presents himself this year!!!!

I went out to visit Rapid Ralph! MY Christmas present from everyone this year that I received early

So I gave him a polish AND a bow!

I LOVE MY BIKE!!!!!!!

THEN... We went to Mum and Dad's for CHRISTMAS LUNCH!!!

WOW! My Mum is AMAZING!

The Christmas lunch is a military operation and she does it FANTASTICALLY!

Before I grow to large for the mirror I always take my yearly mirror shot..

At Mum and Dad's.... I adore this mirror! All the childhoods come back when I look into it!

The mirror in Mum and Dad's hallway! I loved this mirror as a little girl, when you looked in you could see my Nan's house because the building was completely the opposite of my parents... I thought it was MAGIC!!

So after lunch ......BINGO!!!!

Haha tradition EVERY year! I am bursting with bingo excitement!

I buy super prizes and fill my handmade fluffy bingo bag!

HAHAHA

Present time was fun... Noah was so excited! And we had SO many laughs

I gave Mum and Dad their family doodle present!

They loved it..Dad is always fascinated at how he ALWAYS looks the same!

I told him..It's how I see him!

Next... Teatime!!

Dad had baked cakes!

WOAH!!!!

THEN.... DRUM ROLL..

CHRISTMAS INDOOR FIREWORKS!!!

All my childhoods come flooding back..

The week in review

WOW!! What a fun week.... Christmas countdowns.. New pens.. Awesome mail..My Wilbur on the mend...Sunrises... Walking by the river... AND OUR ANNIVERSARY..YES Me and Jacob!! 3 YEARS!! WOOP! What a wonderful time I had.. I felt silly and happy.. Roll on the next one! ♥

The first frost...... WOW! winter is FINALLY here!!!

And I'm feeling a little more festive..

It was our anniversary! 3 YEARS!!!! Can you believe it???

This was us being GOOFY on our cinema date!

YEP!! We went to Nando's and then we saw THE THING!

Romantic huh?? Haha we LOVE a good (or bad) horror movie.

And as we LOVED the original..What better that to see this as our date movie!

Then as an extra special treat we went out for breakfast on our actual date day!

I LOVE that boy!

And he loves MEEEE!!!

Look at the awesome presents he bought me..

I bought him a COOL squid tee and sweets!! Lots of them...
Jelly sweet kebabs and marshmallow lollies!!

In fact I would have taken pics BUT he ate them SO QUICK!!!!
That boy sure does LOVE sweets!

Wow! Well they say time flies when you're having fun huh!??

And TODAY.. It's a celebration... Jacob and I have been together for THREE YEARS!!

WOOP! Hahaha.. How exciting!

LOOK.... He bought me THE BEST anniversary presents..

We went on a super cute date... Nandos for dinner

followed by milkshakes in the cinema..

We went to see THE THING!

AWESOME!!!

Double week in review

Hey guys... Well it has been a little CRAZY here so I apologise for the lack of week in review blog last week!

Anyway..Here's a bumper catch up blog..

WOW... Another week like the last..Really hard going on the emotions..Poor WIlbur became so dehydrated he went in on a drip..Then he refused to eat so as I type this he's back at the vets after an overnight!

That was pretty much what my week was full of... Worrying about my furry boy!

All I can do in times of worry is try and keep positive and keep making stuff... Cycling helps too... And sunsets..sunrises and ETHEL!!!

And then the next week....

Well ANOTHER tough one... My little furry boy stayed in the vets hospital for 4 whole nights.. I was going CRAZY without him I was visiting EVERY day!!.. I caught a cold when I was at my lowest and it was tough to shift it feeling so sad!.. I got Wilbur

home on Thursday and we are looked after each other! It was the perfect day to get him home because we put up the tree and started to feel a little festive.. The week was also full of doodling..stickers..aceos..puffs and all the usual!

Now I'm off for a cuddle with my boy! Happy new week guys!! Have fun and make the most of EVERY day!

The week in review

Well..That was an exhausting emotional week.... My furry boy Wilbur went to the vets and they found out he had a few health issues.. SO... tests tests tests.. a LOT of cuddling.. wishing... positive thinking... walking.. sunrises...sunsets...rainbows.. unicorns and anything else that makes me feel like it's gonna be ok! It HAS to be ok....

Monday was a crazy busy catching up day...

LOADS of Rudolph puffs to be made.

Rudolph puffs are by far the favourite Christmas puff at the moment!

But then Tuesday... Everything fell behind..Wilbur got sick so was rushed up to the vets!

The vet had a list of things to check and said that his heart was very irregular and his breathing strange.

So he was kept in for tests..

That day I was 100% useless..

I cycled..LOTS!

Went to the wish tree to make a wish for Wilbur..

And took photographs of the woods

Then at the end of the day we got him back!

The vet said his breathing had calmed down a lot and it seemed more positive than we first thought

She gave him lots of medicine and said to go back on Thursday.

We went to get Noah's prize for winning the Tesco Halloween costume drawing competition and then went for dinner as a special treat for the little guy..

He certainly had a good time..

Wilbur went back on the Thursday..He had an X-ray and a shave!

The vet showed us the results.. It seems Wilbur has asthma and his heart is working a little faster to help him out with this..

She had expected the X-ray to look a lot worse so we were really relieved.

He brought medicine home and has to go back next week. But until then....

He has his cosy basket..

And LOTS of cuddles...

I LOVE that boy..

LOTS!!

And he says he feels a little brighter!

Hmm..So what else has been happening?

Beautiful sunrises..

A trip to the beach..

AND a trip to the woods...

I took my tiny unicorn to the woods...

To watch the sun go down..

Oh and the greatest films to craft to THIS week were..

The thing with two heads

AND.. Race with the devil!

Oh how I LOVE vintage horrors!!!
1970's being my fave year for EVERYTHING haha!!

Hey guys...

Sorry it's a bit late this week but yesterday I was at the vets with my furry boy Wilbur!

He was taken in for lots of tests

and the vet discovered that he has a few health issues.. One of them being a heart problem.

He was sent home with tablets and is resting up in his favourite basket!

The vet says the condition is common in cats and goes unnoticed a lot of the time..

A friend of mine said the sweetest thing..

"I'm guessing it's common in cats because they love you so hard it wears their poor little hearts out!"

This was such a beautiful message and so true. It really touched me!

Week in review

Well....Christmas preparations started here at the little pink house... And it felt SO MUCH like Autumn finally!! New headwear for me and Ethel... Hedgehogs and hanging in the woods..

Now I'm a funny one when it comes to Christmas..

I NEVER feel like I have enough time and am ALWAYS stressed.

I want to love it but there's something about it that makes me feel a little sad..

Like leaving the child in me behind and realising I'm all grown up.

Anyway.. I decided to try and overcome this feeling

by starting on some Christmas goodies for the shop!

Haha tiny Santa hats..

I even made one for Ethel..

Haha ok ok so she wanted to pouch it rather than wear it.. BUT

Then I started on the CHRISTMAS PUFFS!!!!!

AMAZING huh?? I love to swap with artists that I REALLY admire and I have lusted after her ghosts for SO LONG! Now I have my very own on my ever growing handmade plush shelves!

Oooh I also got some AWESOME new headwear...

PERFECT for the unicorn queen huh??

It goes PERFECTLY with my Sunday maxi dress too....

And speaking of Sunday! We had THE BEST SUNDAY!!

We walked in the woods.. It's been AGES! And it was magical!

Time spent with my boys is ALWAYS magic

But watching the sun fade away and the fire burn was so beautiful!

YES! The perfect Sunday!

It really felt like Autumn was well underway

and that Winter was coming FAST!

Being with my boys...

There's nothing like it!

The week in review

Spooky kinda week... Halloween..Dark evenings.. Lots of doodling..Fireworks..Pumpkins..Spooky walks home.. Awesome mail..Dressing up..And a little down time but all in all.. Plenty of fun!

Monday was HALLOWEEEEEN!!!

Pumpkin time....

Yeah well Noah wanted Finn and Jake pumpkins so here are this years designs!

And we had some snacks and a little party..

Then spent the evening watching some bad horror movies..Including The Night Of The Demons!!

Of course Ethel had to celebrate

In fact I'm such a good hamster Mummy

that I carved her a tiny little Halloween pumpkin from a carrot

SHE LOVED IT!!!

Haha in fact she was so excited.. I think she wore herself out a little!

Aww.. Haha but for Ethel it's been quite a busy week!

On TUESDAY..She picked the winning ticket in the KPS draw!

She was AMAZING!!

Pouched the number straight away..Like a real pro!

And the winner was number 127 Claire Pedley!

A couple of Birthday ones for friends..

I decided to design my own..BUT this time driving home the originality card.

So my poster has the message very near to my heart

Treasury Tuesday

WOW! Is it really November ALREADY!??

Totally CRAZY!

I love this time of year so much though..Well you know I love Fall but as soon as the Winter nights draw in I just think it feels magical..

And I'm always excited about Bonfire night!

The sounds..The smells.. It brings back so many childhood memories!

When I was a little girl, Mum was at home with my little baby brother.

Dad took me to a firework display.. About 15 mins later we walked back in through the door.

Mum asked if it had been cancelled.. Dad said NO.. Greatest display EVER!

A match had got in and the whole lot had gone up in one go!

WOAH!!! Freaky huh!?

I also remember standing on the beach watching the fireworks go off near the pier with my Grandpa!

Haha he ALWAYS went OOH as they went up and AAH as they came down..

So sweet! I always think it as I watch them!

It's a fun tradition I hope to always share with my Noah!

And as for the snacks.. There's nothing like standing wrapped up warm

wearing mittens eating a candy apple!

SO with all this in mind..

Here's this weeks treasury

Well here it is.. My favourite time of year!
The clocks have gone back and its dark early..
I love the feel..The atmosphere..
So.. Wrap up warm.. Hold hands.. Watch the fireworks..

The week in review

Hooray for half term! What a wonderful week..Full of doodling.. Cycling.. Stormy Autumn skies.. I hit 500 sales in my Etsy shop... Noah had a sleepover but no need to worry because I got a new friend from Tiny Oyster.. Doughnuts and dusting.. Oh and Ethel haha ALWAYS Ethel!

Oh I do LOVE half term!! I never understand when I hear mothers moan and groan about having the kids off! But then we have an awesome relationship me and my Noah..He's one of my best friends!

You can't stop them growing up..But you CAN have as much fun with them as possible while they're still hanging out at home! SO on Monday we went for a cycle ride...

We went to the wish tree...

We LOVE cycling together now that I have Ralph! We had a few cycle rides this holiday..We can get anywhere and everywhere and It's so pretty where we live.. Only 5 mins away from our little pink house and we're here..

I LOVE this time of year for so many reasons..

The changing skies..The dark evenings..Magic clouds AND I get to wear my favourite hat!

YES! Autumn is the time for ME!!

It was an awesome week for mail too..

NEW vintage dresses... YEEE!!

Yee! I am loving my new change of style! It's the only way I know I am completely unique too!

No more high street for me!

All my kawaii clothes are going on sale here so grab a bargain guys!

I also got wonderful mail from one of my favourite etsy shops Tinyoysterdesigns

A new pocket sized Worry!

He arrived on the PERFECT day too because my Noah had a sleepover and as Jacob was working that night it was the first night I had been on my own for 10 years! EEK!

When Noah's not with me I worry most... I suffer with anxiety. I was worse before he was born.. He's my safety blanket.. I'm getting better..Worry helped a lot!

I spent the evening cleaning and dusting my shelves..

Yes I'm a crazy collector of plush!!

I love handmade.. And am always fascinated by plush!

I have a long list of favourites and ALWAYS looking to collect more!

On Saturday it was time to get creative and make a start on Noah's Halloween disco costume!

He wanted to be Finn the human from Adventure Time!

So I made him the hat and bag..

And I couldn't resist trying it on....

Also this week I did a couple more fun custom doodles..

These two were so much fun..

Custom doodles are proving REALLY popular!

I am SO excited because a year ago I was just starting out with them..

Which brings me to this..

I hit 500 sales in my Etsy shop!!
